For phone recordings and voice notes
Voice memo noise removal
Clean voice memos and voice notes recorded on the go, so the voice comes through instead of the street.
Cleaned on your own device — the file is never uploaded.
The problem
What gets in the way
Phones are always with you, so memos get recorded wherever an idea or a conversation happens: in a car, on a walk, in a busy kitchen. The phone’s mic hears all of it.
- Car and road noise
- Street and crowd noise
- Kitchen and household sounds
- Hiss from a phone held at arm’s length
What you get
A clean voice, ready to use
- The background removed, the voice kept natural
- An iPhone M4A back as M4A
- Voice notes (OGG, Opus) back as WAV, or MP3 or M4A if you choose
- A comfortable, even level
How it works
Four steps, one clean file
Step 1: Pick your settings
Set Loudness to Podcast (−16 LUFS). For OGG or Opus voice notes, choose MP3 or M4A for a smaller file.
Step 2: Drop the memo
Copy the memo from your phone to your computer, then drop it on the tool or choose it from your files.
Step 3: Let it clean
Your browser cleans the memo on your own computer and it is never uploaded. The first file takes a little longer while our speech AI loads.
Step 4: Compare and keep it
The clean memo downloads by itself when it is ready. Play the A/B preview to switch between original and cleaned at the same moment, or change a setting and choose Download again.
For this recording
Recommended settings
- Loudness
- Podcast (−16 LUFS)
- Output format
- Same as original
Phone memos are often quiet; −16 LUFS lifts them to a comfortable level, and the built-in voice clarity takes out the low rumble of handling and traffic.
Set them in the tool before you add the file: they are used for the automatic download, and you can change them afterwards and download again.
Good to know
- Wind blowing into the mic is hard to separate from speech and may only be reduced.
- Echo and room reverb stay as recorded: it removes noise, not the sound of the room.

FAQ
Common questions
Does it work with iPhone Voice Memos?
Yes. Voice Memos are M4A files; with Same as original you get a clean M4A back.
Can I clean voice notes from messaging apps?
Yes, once you have saved the note as a file. Most are OGG or Opus, which come back as WAV, or as MP3 or M4A if you choose.
Can I use it on my phone?
It runs best on a computer in Chrome, Edge or Firefox, because the cleaning happens on your own device. Copy the memo to your computer first.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The cleaning runs inside your browser, on your own computer. Your audio and video never leave your device; our server only receives the file’s length and format to check your allowance.
Is it free?
A free account cleans 30 minutes a month, no card needed. The paid plans, Creator (9 hours), Pro (30 hours) and Studio (100 hours) a month, take files up to 3 hours and 4 GB each. See the pricing page for details.
